The Marasect's apparently made a career going on three generation now through shipping out and sewing varieties of Pokemon string into seasonal outfits for special occasions such as kimonoes for festivals, and under shirts for police stations. It was a simple childhood, mostly spent on the ranch helping daily tasks get done between lessons and homework from the school actually in the town proper, and my summers were spent either doing more intense versions of the same or getting sent to Dad's family where I learned more about the Bug Catcher profession. He was an absolute sweetheart who did little loop-de-loops when he was fed Cajun-spiced shrimp, but god help you when he looks you eye to eyes and mandibles grinning. I also had the easy excuse for why I shit myself when I first met Mum's Yanmega. I just got a bit of a head start in arbitrary facts than most others had. It was also because of this little blue bird of joy that I decided that, no, this was a happy place, and while the information that may or may not be totally accurate, it changed nothing in how I would live my life here. It was easy to not panic when you had a massive blue bird literally straightening you out when you fell down or sweetly singing you to sleep during the night. Walking came a bit before actually, but that was mostly my body moving on instinct to try and grab the floof that was Mum's Swablu, which was what amounted to my personal nursery for my early child hood. In a place where people could be literally Psychic or able to bend rebar like plastic, it was seen as very sweet and wonderful when I started reading and speaking in the first year. I, meanwhile, was an ordinary kid who happened to be reincarnated into a fantastic world. Between the two, I was already fairly worldly for a kid who hadn't gone on a journey yet. The rest of his side of the family was perfectly fine, and understanding of the situation, so it wasn't all bad at least. Unfortunately, none of these things mattered much afterwards as Dad's first instinct upon seeing me was apparently 'I should go disappear into the woods to avoid child support', so.that was a thing. Apparently the trick to the last one was have other Bug-Type hives accept and raise the eggs as their own, as they tended to be easy prey to both Flying and Water Types without the protection of Volcarona.

Their time together was apparently a whirlwind romance of romantic gestures, battles that helped save the farm, and a successful breakthrough that brought back the struggling Larvesta population back from the brink of extinction while I was 'in the works', so to speak. My Dad, Richard Marasect, was a Bug Catcher from Johto and my Mum was Diana Carca, a Breeder who worked at Floccesy Ranch in Unova, where they met. Also I was two years older than most of the people who typically took the exam, but that was a different issue.Īllow me to introduce myself, potential Psychics reading my mind and or memories! As I'm sure you've already figured out, but my name is Aidan. It was a bit wordier and technical than most of the people who took the test bothered with, but if I was doing work I'd be damned if I didn't do it well.

That's the name of the essay I wrote to officially get my Trainer license when I turned 12, based around the ways Pokemon interact and help improve things ranging from agricultural pursuits to construction and terraforming.
